The prayer ties will be attaching onto a cord, which goes around the perimeter of the circle. If you leave a length of about six inches of cord to tie on, you should be all set!

Allright. Mine is done, with the exception of the cords. How long do the cords need to be in order to work for their intended purpose? Are the flags going to be attached to something thin like a rope, or something thick?

Greetings Friends,
Time is slipping quickly past, and very soon, we will be together, by firelight, making our magic and weaving our web once again. Now is the time to look within, and think about what your intention is in coming to Fires Rising. What is the lead that you would transmute to gold? What is your Will in entering this sacred circle? What new seed will you plant? What can you prepare to "bring on" during the long nights we will share together?
One of the ways we care for ourselves and each other is by bringing offerings of food into the circle. We will have a food altar for offerings. Please bring finger foods, delicious, nutritious, and delectable to nourish and nurture each other each night!
Sometime in the next couple of weeks, we encourage you to create your prayer flag. This personalized work of art can be as simple or as complex as you choose, but please keep the size limited to the size of a pillow case or smaller, so there will be room for everyone. Consider how you'd like to affix your prayer flag to the container-- small cords in the corners often work the best. Feel free to use markers, paints, fabrics, or whatever else your imagination can come up with!
We will have some materials on site for making prayer flags if people aren't able to make them before the gathering. Everyone will need to have their prayer flag, with their intention, prayers or symbols on it, in order to cross the threshold and enter the circle on Friday night.....
