Aloha Friends!

As you all revel in the Fire festivities of Summer, I encourage you to mark your calendars and begin plotting now for your adventures in Hawaii in December!

The Winter Solstice Fire Tribe Gathering will take place on Oahu in Hawaii, December 13th through the 17th, with Early Village Builders on the 12th.

Now is the time to plan and purchase your airfares when the rates are at their lowest!

I've included some words below from a celebrant who was part of the 2005 Winter Solstice Gathering...

See you round the Fire!

what makes hawaii fire tribe different and special?

there is something extra-ordinary about hawaii...the place, the tip
of a mountain in the middle of the ocean far far away from anywhere -
where the forces of nature are strong, and the elemental spirits are
vibrant...

the beautiful people who organize HFT are filled with the spirit of
aloha, more than hello, goodbye, welcome and i love you, aloha is the
warm embrace between loved ones, the meeting and greeting of one's
spirit with another...

i love the small, intimate size of the gathering, growing over the
week to about 100? big enough to keep the juice flowing (lemon
juice :-) and small enough i feel connected to everyone. a size in
which each person's contribution is seen and felt and cherished...

a liquid container of ease and grace within which all the work
and play happens easefully and gracefully, with loving support
for all that is being born, and for those who are giving birth -
to rituals, song, art, love offerings...

the kokui nut leis are a very special part of the gathering - each
elemental lei created with our hands and hearts, stories and
blessings...and offered to each other throughout the gathering. what
a gift to receive it from someone with their blessings. what a gift
to give it to someone with appreciation for what they bring to the
circle. over the days and nights the leis visually show the giving
and receiving of loving, healing energy. by sunday sunrise the were
filled with mana.

until we meet again ~ you are in my heartfire/hearthfire,
all my love, big smile and hugs,
