Hi family, So many highlights, so much to absorb. Though having had previously experienced the Alchemical Fire circle, I keep finding that it mirrors my inner self as well as life in general. In particular I often find various lessons through out the event which point me to greater freedom, understanding, and ways of creating happiness thru community. For me this event had a strong element of service. Having been staff at various other events, it appeared that this event was to be (for me) a test of who i am now. My first thought of this now reflects upon a truth. That our state of mind will effect our experience. So I had entered into service of staffing this event with happiness and a motivation to create happiness for others when I could. The result being that even when there was difficulty I was able to rise above it, deal with it, and MOVE on......... I pray that perhaps this helped others as well. We are truly a community in 4Q. The Family of Fire started by Jeff and Abby several years ago is a good addition to our extended family. One which I think will profit them and us, so that we will all profit towards a mutually fulfilling happiness. Increasing the potency of the magick in our worlds, now and in the months and years to come. Please share your thoughts of highs and lows of this event. I am unable to write of any 'one' right now, but i am certainly enjoying reading yours. '.....the Sun see's itself in the fire and in each other we see god.' (morning Fire circle prayer) fox wallace PS-I personally want to thank each and everyone who was at FR. Together we make this event happen.

I left the land on Sunday afternoon with one impression of Fires Rising, it was awesome!!!!! I came to the circle on Friday night and there was the most incredible burst of energy coming from the music, dancers, and the land itself. the whole Fires Rising crew, and the staff at the farm should be complimented on their program. It was also great to see so many new people, all meeting, celebrating, and making themselves part of the community. Hopefully this event will be able to come again, it was beyond words, at least from my point of view. James |

Hey everyone! Wow, what an amazing magical fire circle event! FYI, I have been asked by Drema Baker, Editor of PagaNet News, to write the review article of Fires Rising. I would love for everyone to post their impressions as I gather up the feelings and information to compose a worthy article. Drema has attended many farm events and has reviewed Stones Rising in the past as a presenter and celebrant. Thank you in advance for sharing your thoughts for the article. I am very honored to be the author. Blessings and thanks for all of your magic in the alchemical fire circle this past weekend!

It was a great event, even if you weren't able or inclined to staying up all night. The quality of the presentation, organization and teaching was very, very high. I have missed the style of Fire Circles that are more structured and facilitated, and that allow for spaces, silences, songs, spoken word, instruments other than the usual, etc. I'd like to see more of this at the Farm, and I hope that we are able to grow the good Fire Circle crew that we have now until we have a culture, skillset and enthusiasm that lets us have some of that magic consistently at our Fire Circles. a few words to sum up the weekend: transformation, magical, ecstatic trance, effortless movement of body into a dance, primitive, expressive, mind blowing- i have never been a drum/fire circle that was like any of the ones held at fire's rising. i would love to see this to come to the farm in whatever form it make take- especially for the stone's drumming/dancing vigil. i loved how we were all urged to take part in the four different portals of the fire circle- i could see how all parts work towards the whole. time just flew by through out the night and the energy just swept me in and kept me completely engaged in the circle. i just loved the weekend- i was able to find a voice and a part within the circle. instead of just a few guiding the circle- we all took part in the creation and formed it for the community. at times i picked up my head and had to ask the question of where am i? many times i felt transported into another releam, another place- i was almost in constant trance when in the circle. it was fantastic. i at first i felt high and then i just felt free. I loved the energy. It would hit you with a reverberating beat as soon as you were near the circle. The dancing was incredible and seeing my little niece, McKayla, in the arms of so many people helping her along and surrounding her with warmth and love brought much joy to my heart. My boys fell asleep; my three year old was dead weight in my arms half way through the Friday night ceremony. But he enjoyed the ribbon dancing the next day and that the women teaching the dance called him a "little warrior" and taught him that even boys can dance. Me, I joined the drummers with my claves (my drums were uncooperative in the moist weather). In my enthusiasm, I busted my claves and gave myself a rockin' couple of blisters. But I was riding the high for the rest of the weekend. And thanks to Conrad and a generous friend, I replaced my claves. Kristy the Frog and Hollie the Bear are planning to continue with more painting for Drum and Splash. We got a rave review from those that came to us for body art on Saturday night. It was our pleasure, guys. We will try to be in our same little nest area right by Sarasvati's Call. See you in July!! Hollie RyverBear |

Hey, it's me! Your happy, gratitude center dancing friend. *grins* No, I want to thank you! Just like you I was new to this. This....Fire Circle thing. I had no clue it would be this magical, this awesome! Yes, that is exactly what I thought. The energy inside the circles all the different nights were filled with the most intense intent that I had ever felt before. It was truly a moving experience. I grew this weekend, my mind opened to new options and wondrous things! This event was the first time I danced like NO ONE was watching. Do you know how liberating that felt? To let the heartbeat of the drums fill my mind, heart and soul? And that I was able to translate it into dance? That is the best give the Land, Mother Earth could give me! I feel truly blessed! So many people I met this event, I bonded with, formed connections with. So with thanks, I end my explanation, hoping you understand. Blessings, JoAnn.
