Yay! I'll be there, getting excited, and i have some questions: What should we bring? (Other than things to wear, things to sleep in and on, and things to make ourselves clean?) I see there will be breakfast and dinner - will there be lunch? Friday fire circle then Saturday breakfast at 10 - meep, how many hours of sleep would a person get if she commits to the full fire the night before? Are the workshops that repeat on Friday and Saturday going to be different, or the same? David - i accept your challenge to share in the responsibility of potion making. Will talk schedule when i see you late Thursday or early Friday! Aase "My name is Bobadilla Brown, and the mackerel on my hat is immortal."

I'd like to encourage y'all, once again, to help us provide fresh coffee/tea/cocoa all day and through the fire-filled night!! Is it too much of a stretch to consider the blending of bitter ground beans and boiling hot water to be a transformation worthy of a few hours of your time? And to be in service to The Tribe ..... And to meet friends - old and new? Thanks and Blessings, Dave and Dawn |

Chris, Reading over everything looks good. I did however notice you didn't mention the all night food altar nor that there will be breakfast at 11 on Sunday. I am sure that you have thought of that and will include it in the program. But just thought that I would make a mention. See you later this evening, I will we at the farm no later than 4 today |

Environmental Ethic "People live in a world that watches, in a forest of eyes. A person moving through nature- however wild, remote, even desolate the place may be- is never truly alone. The surroundings are aware, sensate, personified. They feel. They can be offended. And they must, at every moment, be treated with the proper respect." (Richard Nelson - Anthropologist)

Moving beyond any one interpretation of what Alchemy is, into what the key to transforming is. And how we do this in a natural way. We will be using real world Alchemical skills to discover the metaphors and frameworks which can fix problems, offer solutions, and prepare us for change. Our focus then relies on an organic process which is sustainable. Organic because the answers are inside you, and sustainable because it is natural. Like water we are nurturing, like the Wind we will change according to prevalent conditions. Our daytime activities at Fire Rising are designed to offer to the attendee a series of different frameworks to address any needs. The skills which will be demonstrated are rich in metaphors which can provide every person with the substance they need to create change in their own lives. Perhaps more importantly they can also provide us with ideas to sustain us during the difficult times. Our Night time activity will be focused on the Fire Circle and personal trance work, discovering our own truths inside a tribal circle. The event format has also changed to encompass a "Think Globally, Buy Locally," attitude. Beginning with our menu for meals, and then the presenters themselves. No outside talent or performers have been contracted for this event. It is less expensive than any other 4Q event. Because the talent will be provided by the attendees. This is not so much a festival, as it is a gathering of a Tribe. In particular it is a gathering of a select few who have heard the call in their hearts to continue a Great Work, not only for themselves but for others who might benefit now and in the future. I would like to ask everyone attending to personally make a commitment during this gathering. In order for us to be successful we will need you to stay engaged in the process of what we are doing. Each attendee will need to attend and support each part of the gathering. This years event has been designed to make that possible for everyone. This will conclude with an All Night Fire Circle. I hope you are able to rise with the challenge, as we all take part in this years Fire Rising.
