Greetings Sarah, and all...
An excellent question, thanks for writing in... The intention of the prayer flag is to help you focus your intention for the gathering. If you like, you could make two, one to actually burn up in the fire, releasing and transforming what you will, one to tie on the perimeter cord, of what you're bringing in, or what you wish to transform.
In the Alchemical process, the first stage, Calcination, is all about burning away what's in the way. After that, we purify and transform what is left, in the ashes of whatever we've burned away... So really, the "lead" is what will be transformed, through fire, intention, sweat, tears, song, etc...

Greetings Everyone...
Ok I have a question about the Prayer Flag... Are we merely writing words, drawing and creating what we feel to be our lead/ what is holding us back OR are we/can we write, draw and create what we are looking to transform the lead into during this event. Looking forward to our first time at Fire's Rising.

Greetings Friends...
Now is the time, as the wheel turns and we prepare to join together again at Fires Rising. Now is the time, to cleanse, prepare and purify ourselves as we begin to focus our intentions for this year's gathering. What is your Will? What is it that is leaden within you that you would turn to Gold? What will you transform and purify? Please create a prayer flag, no bigger than the size of half a pillowcase, with your words, symbols and pictures, to bring with you to the gathering, to tie onto the perimeter cord. Our vessel is created by our intentions and our prayers, and you will need to have a prayer flag to enter the vessel on Friday night. We will have some supplies available onsite, in case you forget, but really, we encourage you to begin working your magic NOW, and use your creativity and your imagination to create a work of conscious intention...
We'll see you soon, for what promises to be the best year yet!
