SPECIAL April 5th Moon Service Weekend

Exciting things will be happening dedicated to two sites that so many of us love: the Labyrinth and the Drum Circle. We're calling you to Service - The Moon Service, and Service to the Land, the Farm, the Tribe!

A Day of Service:
On the HILLTOP - 10 to 2:30 - Labyrinth Dig with Carrie K & Silver Circle.
No registration required, no cost, just sacred Work + a bit to eat while we install more curbing stones in the Labyrinth.

At the DRUM CIRCLE - 12 to 4 - Aero's Birthday Luncheon and Drum Circle fund raiser. Registration $20, see below for full announcement.

Then: 5:30pm: DINNER! Featuring the cooking talents of Penn State students- Rice, ground beef, and lots of sides & fixin's for putting together your very own bowl of yummy goodness..

And afterwards: NEW MOON RITUAL in the Circle. With Aase + Silver Circle from State College PA. A walking ritual on the topic of carrying burdens, sharing burdens, laying down burdens, and carrying on. Paths for all bodies and abilities! Lots of roles to fill! We want YOU!

DRUM CIRCLE thereafter into the night, at the sacred drum circle! Come make a joyful noise, come drum, sing, dance, and witness, to celebrate the coming of spring, the beauty of giving of what we have to make something wonderful, and of course - AERO'S BIRTHDAY.

Silver Circle and I need help in making our moon ritual happen. In particular:
-Singers to help lead a chant for the ancestors, and non-singers to help speak the spoken chant that goes with it.
-Handy people that can help with ritual set-up between 4:30 and dinnertime. Come find us, we'll be on the site working. We're setting up an enclosure, putting in torches and/or lanterns, and a couple other things.
-People to help out in ritual. Email Aase (aasewiborg at yahoo dot com), or find me on the Land on the 5th if you would like to do this, and we'll give you something to do. The more people the better!

A note from Aero: "I want to celebrate my birthday with my friends and family at Four Quarters. At the same time, I want to raise as much money as I can to put in the Drum Circle so we can -- have a bigger circle; a more level dance space; and soft soft sand; a pavilion for the drummers, a space for healers, room for singers and dancers. ... and this suits my true nature to host an party and do something meaningful to share with others." Here's something that Aero inspired, expressing his love for Drum Circle ...

    Aero's Heart
My heart is with the bracers, those who are the builders, the watchers and the keepers of these sacred fires.
My heart is with the dancers, those who are the travelers circling countless miles between the heavens and the earth.
My heart is with the drummers, those who carry the pulse heard between the worlds and sounding it out, drawing us near.
My heart is with the ancestors, the pilgrims and the descendants, all who gather round to sing and dance and drum.

A Note from Eldritch: We are excited about Aero growing older (at least we laugh!) and the Drum Circle Fund growing larger (at least by half!). Many thanks for your generous contributions to The Drum Circle Fund. So far, everyone's one time and recurring decorations are creating a wonderful legacy. Currently, The Drum Circle Fund has over a thousand dollars and our goal is to raise, at least, two grand more. These funds will get us started on a range of ongoing improvements. Here is what we envision and how your money will help to make these improvements a reality.

 - Retaining Wall to level out the dance floor
 - Safety Railing to protect individuals
 - Two huge loads of Soft Playground Sand
 - Drummer's Pavilion to protect drums and drums from rain
 - Inner Circle of tall posts (6"x6") topped with a ring of Lentels for mounting decorations and tarps
 - Outer Circle of shorter posts for mounting decorations and tarps
 - Tailored Tarps
 - Lighting and Decorations
 - Gates at the cardinal directions
 - Eastern Entryway
