* The Ride Share Carpool Database is a custom application commissioned by Four Quarters that matches auto drivers with riders for most events held at Four Quarters. It costs you nothing to use and does a world of good, one ride at a time!

   Here's how to get started.

* From the table below, or any other RideShare link on this site, choose the event for which you would like to place a notice. Clicking the link will take you directly to the RideShare Database for that event.

* To create a new user account, simply fill in your email, user name and password. You can use the same user name and password across all the events.

* As a returning user, login with your username and password.

* To create your first notice for the event, click LOAD OR EDIT YOUR AD. Give a description of your situation and any special info that might be helpful. Then set up your computer sort by giving your zip code and perhaps a landmark, major street or town nearby. Choose when you would like to arrive and depart. And then how many seats you can offer a ride for, or how many seats you need a ride for. Then click SAVE YOUR AD! In real time the database will post your closest matches.

* Your matches are displayed with the best at the top of the list. Areas where you are a good match with others will be highlighted. The closeness of the match will also carry a numerical rating. To sort your matchs you can move their posistion or delete them from your sort list. Just use the dropdown box next to each match, and then click UPDATE LIST.

* To contact a possible match just click SEND EMAIL. Our anonymous email server will create a page for you. Be sure to give all the info they may need. You can continue to use the anonymous email through the RideShare page, or send your personal email if you like.

* To edit your advert just click EDIT YOUR AD at the top of the page. You can change anything about your ad and then have it reprocessed through the matching engine. For instance, if you are offering two seats and find a match for the first, just edit the ad to show that you now just have one seat available. Or change your prefered arrival date.

* To check for new matches since your last visit, just fill in your login info and click FIND A MATCH. In real time the database will post your new closest matches as of that moment.

* So you found a ride. What now? Just close your account for this event. That will remove your ad from those remaining ads the computer compiles matches from. It will not close your account for any other events that you may still have open ads for. Remember, until you close your account, your ad will be visable to everyone else RideSharing to that event. So do close your ad when you find your ride.

* After the end of the event, we clear the database of remaining RideShare ads, so that it will be ready for next year!

Remember, it is polite to offer to share the cost of fuel for travelling to the event, you might want to make that offer right in your ad for a RideShare. And if you are a driver, consider offering to make the pickup for your rider, especially if they are helping with your fuel costs!
