Sweat Lodge Teachings at Four Quarters
to benefit the Sweat Lodge Site
     at Four Quarters

An intensive weekend of focus on the
Art and Ceremony of Sweat Lodge
and the creation of our own personal Medicine.

Fire Trail and cool creek       Sweat Lodge is an important ceremonial at Four Quarters and reflects the diversity of cultures that have developed traditions of the sweat as spiritual practise. We offer open Wiccan and Eclectic sweats every other Month throughout the year and and at our major ceremonial gatherings. Please see our Wheel of the Year Calendar for complete listings of open sweats at Four Quarters.

We sometimes host traditional sweats on an invitational basis out of respect. Medicine Lodge is not a traditional ceremonial. It is hoped that it may become a bridge to traditional ceremonials for those who are so called.

Lodge Teachings is a weekend of focus on Sweat Lodge, a practicum for the ceremonial role of the Sweats in your life. And an opportunity to use these ceremonials in developing your own personal Medicine.
This weekend is not intended to prepare you to conduct Sweat Lodge nor is it a formal Vision Quest; but it will prepare you to grow in your own life through these ancient and diverse traditions.

Four Quarters Lodge Site

Lodge Teachings will begin Friday with staff arrivals for opening setup, we urge you to be here by 9:00AM Saturday morning. Saturday will be filled with the Sweats, drum, song and prayer. The event will allow for individual all night Prayer Fasts on the Land of Four Quarters, and this commitment is encouraged of those attending. Sunday morning drum and sing; closing sweat will end around noon, Sunday.

In keeping with the traditions that have been handed down we do not charge money or fees for attending Ceremony. The donation request of 35.00 for attending the Medicine Lodge this weekend is for the continued upkeep of the lodge site at Four Quarters. In no way is a donation required to be made and is no way your participation in ceremony dependant upon a donation. All donations received at the lodge site at Four Quarters are put into the continued upkeep and improvements of that site. Four Quarters directly absorbs the thousands of dollars that are required every year to operate the Lodge Site.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has donated time, blood, sweat, tears, and money in the past. Donations can and have come in many forms. Donations of tarps, sage, sweetgrass, cedar, food, blankets etc are just as important and helpful as cash, and just as appreciated. Your previous and continued support of the lodge site is what makes it possible for us to continue to provide Ceremony.
