Anza
Faie Full Moon Rite

Synopsis: A classic Gardnerian Full Moon Rite by Anza Faie. Anza studied
under, and was elevated to Third by, Doreen Valiente in the the late 1960s. She added to
the Full Moons her interpretations of the seasonal aspects of the Moons, and made
additional roles within Sacred Circle, notably the role of the Elders.
Thesmophoria
Dark Moon Rite
Adapted by Four Quarters
Synopsis: A Dark Moon Rite retelling of the myth of Persephone and Hades. And why
the dark time of the year comes among us. A good example of free flowing ritual theater
within the context of a Wiccan Circle.
The
Hero's Journey Dark Moon Rite
Adapted by Four Quarters
Synopsis: Sacred Circle cast as an expression of a groups emotional process, this
rite was written at a time when the Church and its members were under attack for their
beliefs as a tactic in a member's divorce case. An excellent example of ceremony with a
specific psychological intent of recognition and healing.
The
Winter Lord Dark Moon Rite
Adapted by Four Quarters
Synopsis: A Formal Circle Cast in Honor of the winter time sacrifice of the Lord
and Consort, and the Lady's longing and hope for his return. Contains formal liturgical
language worth comparing to other formal Circles.
